Our Mission

Located in Historic Fort Pierce Florida, we are an affordable housing alternative specializing in temporary and permanent housing for those reentering society. Our goal is to limit recidivism and help foster opportunities for success in the future. By being located in Fort Pierce, there are a lot of resources available to assist those who are reentering, and to become a successful and contributing member of society. Along with the resources available, Southern Cardinal will guide and assist new clients with Registration at the St Lucie County Sherriff's Office, identification card/Driver's License, EBT/SNAP, and cellphones. We provide access to services available through Mental Health, Veterans council, Salvation Army, Goodwill and other organizations. Southern Cardinal provides beautifully furnished homes and rooms. Centrally located near public transportation, and within walking distance to dozens of retail stores, banks, grocery stores, and restaurants. Southern Cardinal assists new clients in the process of finding successful employment.

Historic Fort Pierce, also known as The Sunrise City, has many amenities, to include fantastic restaurants, historic places to visit like the Navy Seal Museum and the nearby New York Mets spring training facility in Port St Lucie. Being a coastal town, Fort Pierce is 1 of 14 Deepwater ports in Florida, offering excellent fishing and seafood restaurants. With an excellent free public transportation system, it is very easy to get around the beautiful Sunrise City and explore everything there is to offer. Fort Pierce is expanding with economic and cultural redevelopment and has become a very desirable place to live on the Treasure Coast.
